A **recall** is issued by the manufacturer or government when a safety or emissions defect is discovered affecting multiple vehicles. Recalls are free and mandatory-ignoring them can be unsafe and may prevent resale or trade-in. A **Technical Service Bulletin (TSB)** is an internal manufacturer notice about a known issue, repair procedure, or update; TSBs are typically not safety-related and are handled during regular service visits.

## Why They Matter
Recalls address serious problems (braking, steering, fire risk). TSBs improve performance, comfort, or longevity. Staying on top of both protects your safety and keeps your vehicle running smoothly.
