GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) and similar products protect you financially if something unexpected happens to your vehicle.

## Understanding GAP and protection products

**What GAP does:** If your financed car is totaled or stolen, the insurance payout may fall short of what you owe the lender. GAP covers that gap, protecting you from owing money on a car you no longer have.

**Who benefits most:** Buyers financing a vehicle with a smaller down payment are at higher risk; GAP is especially valuable for them.

**Cost:** Usually a modest one-time fee rolled into your monthly payment. The exact cost depends on the vehicle and loan term.

**Other protections:** Service contracts (extended warranty), tire and wheel protection, and paint/fabric protection are common add-ons. Each covers specific wear and damage.

**Not mandatory, but wise:** Lenders don't require GAP, but it's a prudent safeguard many customers appreciate.

**Your options:** Our finance team will present available products and explain each benefit and cost clearly. You decide what fits your peace of mind and budget.

**Call (847) 593-4700** to discuss which protections make sense for your purchase.
